" It is a great treat to play in a two day tournament at Grand Geneva, and partly because of the venue, it attracts one of the best fields of the year. To do well here, you must bring your A game.
- Although we got two very nice rounds out of James, who tied for 8th out of 120 golfers, and we got strong rounds from Nick, Elliott, and Zach on day 2, we just didn't get enough from everyone else.
-We just beat Dubuque in the Como Crossings Intercollegiate, but they played flawlessly for these two days, and nobody else could come close to keeping up. Stout and Eau Claire are also deep and talented, but so are we. However, in our second event hosted at a course that puts a premium on precision off the tee, we couldn't keep up. By far our biggest weakness is inconsistency with our drivers, and this weekend it was our downfall. We have started to establish ourselves as a team that has true short game strengths, but until we get straighter off the tee, we are going to struggle to beat the best."

Next up for the Firebirds is the Midwest Tiger Invite for JV Oct 13 (Tue). For more information, visit the athletics website.
