KENOSHA, Wis. – Carthage College defensive end Michael Sneed will continue his football career after signing with the Okanagan Sun Football Club of the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL).

Sneed, a senior from New Lenox, Illinois, capped off an outstanding career with the Firebirds by earning All-CCIW First Team Defense honors for the second consecutive season.

During the 2025 campaign, Sneed recorded 37 tackles while anchoring the Carthage defensive front. He registered a season-high eight tackles against WashU on Oct. 11 and finished the year with three sacks and 13 quarterback hurries, consistently disrupting opposing offenses throughout the season.

The Okanagan Sun, based in Kelowna, British Columbia, compete in the seven-team B.C. Football Conference, one of the conferences that make up the Canadian Junior Football League. The organization has established itself as one of the premier programs in Canadian junior football, capturing 14 BCFC championships and three Canadian Bowl national championships in 1988, 2000 and 2022.

Sneed and the Okanagan Sun open the 2026 season on Saturday, July 18, with a 4 p.m. road contest against the VI Raiders at NDSS Field. Okanagan will remain on the road the following week, traveling to face the Langley Rams on Saturday, July 25, at 4 p.m. at McLeod Athletic Park Stadium.
