KENOSHA — Carthage women's volleyball student-athlete
Ava Dettwiler has been selected to compete on the USA D-III Volleyball Red Team for the 2026 One World Outreach/Brazil Tour, as announced by USA Sports Tours & Events.
Dettwiler is one of 10 players chosen for the Red Team, which features representatives from nine colleges and universities across six states. The roster is comprised of NCAA Division III standouts recognized at the national, regional and conference levels.
The international tour is scheduled for June 22 through July 1, beginning with team orientation in Orlando, Florida, before traveling to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. While abroad, the team will compete in multiple matches, including an "International Challenge" event on June 27, and take part in doubleheaders at prominent volleyball clubs in the region.
In addition to competition, the team will participate in a youth clinic at Marina Barra Clube as part of a social outreach initiative, while also engaging in cultural and educational experiences throughout Rio de Janeiro. Highlights of the trip include visits to Copacabana Beach, Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain.
