NAPERVILLE — Carthage College was well represented on the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Fall 2025 Academic All-Conference teams, as the league announced its Dave Wrath and Jack Swartz honorees Monday morning.
The Firebirds placed numerous student-athletes on the Dave Wrath Academic All-Conference list, which recognizes individuals who have earned at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average and completed one year in residence at a collegiate institution.
Highlighting the announcement,
Jack DeFilippis (football) and
Jenna Damon (women's volleyball) were selected as Carthage's Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference recipients. Each CCIW member institution nominates one men's and one women's student-athlete per season for the award, which requires a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA and one year in residence.
The Dave Wrath Academic All-Conference award is named for longtime Augustana athletics administrator Dave Wrath, who also helped establish the conference's academic recognition program. The Jack Swartz award honors the former Wheaton (Ill.) director of athletics and CCIW commissioner.
