NAPERVILLE — The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its Winter 2025-26 academic award recipients, with 104 student-athletes from the Carthage College winter sports programs earning Dave Wrath Academic All-Conference honors for their achievements in the classroom.

Representing Carthage as this year's Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference selections were Jared Loos from the men's swimming & diving team and Leela Desharnais from the women's indoor track & field program.

Carthage finished second among all conference institutions in total honorees, trailing only North Central (Ill.), which led the league with 106 selections. Augustana followed with 100 recipients.

The Dave Wrath Academic All-Conference award recognizes student-athletes competing in the conference's winter championship sports who maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.30 and have completed two full-time terms. The award is named after former Augustana and CCIW Sports Information Director Dave Wrath, who helped establish the conference's academic recognition programs.

In addition to the Dave Wrath honorees, the CCIW also announced its Winter 2025-26 Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference recipients. The award recognizes one male and one female student-athlete from each institution for excellence in athletics and academics while maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50.

Women's indoor track & field recorded the highest number of honorees across the conference with 187 selections, while men's indoor track & field followed with 163 recipients.
