Men's Tennis Recognized in Latest ITA Rankings

TEMPE - The Carthage men's tennis team has been ranked No. 40 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III National Rankings, the association announced Thursday. Senior Francisco Silveira has also been ranked No. 19 in the ITA Central Region Singles Rankings.

The Firebirds are currently 13-3 on the season and are coming off a convincing 6-1 victory over US-Santa Cruz. The squad is 8-2 in their last 10 matches, with the only losses coming from nationally ranked opponents No. 32 DePauw and No. 34 North Central.

Silveira is currently 12-4 in singles play this season with a 9-4 record in No. 1 singles play with a two match winning streak.
