FRENCH LICK - The Carthage College women's golf team delivered an impressive performance to capture the team title at the French Lick Springs Women's Golf Classic, held at the historic French Lick Resort in French Lick, Indiana. Competing against a strong field over two days of play, the Firebirds showcased consistency and resilience, carding rounds of 347 and 352 to finish with a tournament total of 699 (+123).


Lexi Manteufel led the Firebirds with an impressive runner-up finish, carding rounds of 83 and 81 for a two-day total of 164 (+20). Ro Longden followed with a sixth-place showing, recording consistent rounds of 87 and 88 to finish at 175 (+31). Emily Tralewski secured seventh place with scores of 90 and 89, totaling 179 (+35). Close behind, Madeline Midgett placed eighth, posting rounds of 87 and 95 for a 182 (+38) total. Rounding out the Firebirds' lineup, Mae Norman finished 11th with rounds of 92 and 94, ending the tournament at 186 (+42).


"It was great to come back to French Lick this year and defend our title," said head coach Bill Buss. "Being able to scrape out a victory at 2 amazing courses is extra special. The highlight of the week was Emily Tralewski's chip-in birdie in round 1 and her hole-out from 117 yards at the Pete Dye Course.
