Bill Buss serves as the Head Women’s Golf Coach at Carthage College, bringing a unique combination of athletic, coaching, and executive leadership experience to the program. With a passion for fostering excellence both on and off the course, Buss has built a reputation for developing well-rounded student-athletes who excel in competition, academics, and character.

Before stepping into the head coaching role, Bill served as an Assistant Women’s Golf Coach at UW-Parkside. In this capacity, he played a role in recruiting top talent, mentoring student-athletes, and contributing to the strategic growth of the program.

Before his coaching career, Buss excelled in the corporate world as an Operations Executive with over 30 years of experience building teams that have successfully driven step-change improvements to overall performance.  He holds several certificates in continuous improvement and leverages his strong analytical skills to build improvement strategies that deliver results. These skills have seamlessly transitioned into his coaching approach, where he emphasizes discipline, goal setting, and teamwork.

Committed to the growth of women’s golf, Buss contributed to his own daughter’s career which saw her excel at the collegiate level. He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Originally from Massachusetts Bill and his wife, Manon reside in Pleasant Prairie and have two children Dylan and Eleni.
