Parker and Rose Qualify for NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships

INDIANAPOLIS - Dylan Parker and Tyler Rose of the Carthage men's track & field team have been selected to compete in the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships, the NCAA announced Sunday.

Parker, a junior from Skokie, Ill., will compete in the 400m after claiming the Firebirds school record with a time of 48.76 seconds at the Wartburg Final Qualifier. Parker finished second at the CCIW Championships in the event with a time of 48.96, earning All-CCIW honors.

Rose, a senior from Naperville, Ill., will compete in the shot put, as well the weight throw for the second straight season. Rose won both events at the 2026 CCIW Championships with a mark of 17.07m in the shot put and 18.68m in the weight throw.

The Carthage duo will compete in the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14 in Birmingham, Ala. For more information, visit athletics.carthage.edu.
