ORLANDO – The Carthage men's tennis team concluded their spring break trip to Florida with a pair of matches against the Washington College Shoremen and the Calvin University Knights. The Firebirds battled hard all day long, earning close 4-3 and 5-2 victories in the pair of contests. The wins clinched a perfect 6-0 road trip for the Firebirds and the final win against Calvin earned Carthage
Head Coach Brady Lindsley his 500th career win with the men's tennis team.

VS WASHINGTON (MD)
In doubles play, Finn Morris and Diego Silva dropped a 6-4 contest in No. 1 doubles to Tiziano Chialva and Jorge Urgal. In No. 2 doubles, Luca Okino and Victor Pimenta claimed a 6-4 victory over Maximilian Synnestvedt and Oskar Wroblewski. Ethan Foucheaux and Francisco Silveira secured the team point for Carthge with a 6-4 win over Demir Isiker and David Kohl Perkins in No. 3 doubles.
In singles play, Silveira earned a 6-0, 6-1 win in No. 1 singles over Chialva to extend the Carthage lead to 2-0. The Shoremen got on the board in No. 6 singles as Wroblewski defeated Okino 6-4, 7-6 (7-2). Linus Bangert extended the Carthage lead back to two points with a 6-2, 7-5 win over Petter Storberg in No. 4 singles. The Shoremen closed the gap again with Synnestvedt taking down Morris 6-7 (2-7) 6-4, (10-4) in No. 2 singles to make it a 3-2 battle on the team scoreboard. The Shoremen then tied the match at 3-3 with Urgal earning a 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 win over Pimenta in No. 5 singles. The match came down to No. 3 singles, where Cyriac Cayuela defeated Perkins 2-6, 6-4, (10-3) to claim the victory for the Firebirds.
VS CALVIN
In doubles play, Okino and Pimenta cruised to a 6-1 win in No. 2 doubles, defeating Diego Castellanos and Felipe Sartori. Morris and Silva then defeated Rodrigo Alipio and Mario Neto 6-4 in No. 1 doubles, while Foucheaux and Silveira earned a 6-2 win over Caleb Bartels and Tanner Warners in No. 3 doubles. The Firebirds, after sweeping doubles play, took a 1-0 lead over the Knights.
In singles play, Silveira dropped a 0-6, 6-0, (10-5) matchup in No. 1 singles against Alipio as the Knights tied the match at 1-1. Foucheaux earned the win in No. 6 singles, defeating Warners 6-3, 6-4 and giving Carthage a 2-1 lead. The Knights answered right back with a 7-5, 6-3 win for Bartels over Silva in No. 2 singles to tie the match at 2-2. The Firebirds took the lead once again at 3-2 after Okino earned a 7-5, 4-6, (10-4) win over Castellanos in No. 4 singles. The Firebirds clinched the victory with a 6-4, 2-6, (10-8) win for Bangert over Sartori in No. 3 singles. Pimenta finished off the match with a win in No. 5 singles after taking down Neto 6-4, 5-7, (12-10).

The Firebirds (12-2) return to action on Saturday, March 21 as the team opens CCIW play against North Central at 5 p.m. at the Naperville Tennis Club in Naperville, Ill.
