KENOSHA - The Carthage men's swim and dive team delivered a commanding, high-octane performance on the men's side, piling up first-place finishes across swimming and diving to cap off an impressive day in the pool. From explosive relay takeovers to personal-best individual swims and dominant diving efforts, the Firebirds controlled the meet from start to finish, showcasing depth, speed, and versatility in every phase of competition.

The relays set the tone early and never let the momentum fade. Carthage swept the relay events, opening with a victory in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:27.88) and following up with first-place finishes in the 200-yard medley relay (1:35.26), the 400-yard medley relay (3:30.77), and the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:12.78).
In the sprints and middle-distance events, Adam Hollis surged to first in the 50-yard freestyle with a personal-best time of 22.02, while Tyson Politsch claimed the 200-yard freestyle title in 1:45.62. AJ Landorf turned in a stellar multi-event day, capturing three individual victories in the 400-yard IM (4:17.20), the 100-yard backstroke (52.02), and the 200-yard butterfly (1:56.80), with the butterfly win marking a personal best.
The Firebirds continued to dominate the stroke events as Ben Przekota won the 100-yard butterfly in a personal-best 53.04, Andrew Laborevitch powered to first in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:00.27, and Ian Glossa delivered a personal-best performance in the 200-yard backstroke, touching first in 1:59.91. Endurance was on full display as Sean Noller claimed the 1650-yard freestyle title in 17:42.34.
Carthage also owned the diving well, as Taydin Murphy swept both boards with authority. Murphy posted a winning score of 408.35 on the 1-meter dive and followed it up with a dominant 427.30 on the 3-meter board, putting an emphatic exclamation point on a meet defined by first-place finishes and standout performances.
