ATLANTA - The Carthage women's basketball team was ranked ninth in NCAA Division III in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) 2024-25 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls, the Association announced Tuesday.

The Firebirds finished off the 2024-25 school year with a combined 3.793 GPA and are the only program to represent the CCIW in the Top 25 this year. This is the highest the program has been ranked under Head Coach Megan Jones, as the program comes off back to back Special Mentions.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes college women's basketball teams across the nation in their respective divisions that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2024-25 season is the 30th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.
