NAPERVILLE – The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced the Spring 2025 recipients of Dave Wrath & Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference awards on Thursday morning with Carthage College student-athletes Kyle Cissne from men's lacrosse and Izzy Hernandez from softball being named Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference recipients for Carthage. 

The Dave Wrath Academic All-Conference list includes individuals who have achieved a minimum overall grade-point average of 3.30 and have completed at least one year of residency at their respective schools.

This award is named after Dave Wrath, the former athletics administrator at Augustana College. Wrath retired in June 2021 after serving the Vikings for 40 years as the Associate Director of Athletics for Media and Alumni Relations. He also served as the CCIW Sports Information Director from 1996 to 2005 and was vital in establishing the CCIW's Academic All-Conference Program in 2005.

Additionally, the CCIW has announced the Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference award recipients. Each CCIW member institution selects two student-athletes (one male and one female) from each of the three sports seasons (fall, winter, spring) to be honored as Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference members. To be eligible, an individual must have an overall grade point average of 3.50 or higher and have completed at least one year of residency at their respective institution.

The Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference award is named after the former Wheaton College Director of Athletics and CCIW Commissioner. Swartz served as Athletics Director from 1975 to 1982 and as CCIW Commissioner from 1987 until his passing on July 11, 1997.
