Rettler Earns NFCA All-Region Honors

LOUISVILLE - Clare Rettler of the Carthage softball team has been named First Team All-Region by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), the association announced Friday.

Rettler, a senior from Appleton, Wis., led the Firebirds in the 2026 season with a .614 batting average with an on base percentage of .654 and a slugging percentage of .800. Rettler recorded 86 hits on the year, which included five doubles, six triples, and three home runs. The senior scored 66 runs and 21 RBIs. Rettler walked 15 times and stole a career high 58 bases during the campaign.

The Firebirds finished the 2026 season with a record of 20-21 and a CCIW record of 8-8. Carthage softball will return in 2027. For more information, visit athletics.carthage.edu.
