NAPERVILLE — Carthage College women's golfer Lexi Manteufel has been named the 2024 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year, the league announced Thursday.

Manteufel posted an impressive debut campaign, averaging a 79.0 stroke average across 22 rounds and 1,737 total strokes. The first-year standout delivered her lowest score of the season with a one-over 73 during the second round of the Wartburg Fall Invite, following an opening-round 74 at the same tournament.

At the CCIW Championship, Manteufel turned in rounds of 78, 75, and 75 to secure a seventh-place finish, earning her All-CCIW honors. She was the highest-placing first-year golfer at the championship event.

Manteufel is the first Carthage women's golfer to receive the CCIW First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year award since its inception.
