Women's Lacrosse Earns All-CCIW Honors for 2025 Season

NAPERVILLE - Six members of the Carthage women's lacrosse team were recognized as part of the 2025 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Women's Lacrosse awards, the conference announced Tuesday. 

HANNAH KIM | DEFENDER | FIRST TEAM ALL-CCIW

Hannah Kim, a junior from Aurora, Colo., registered two goals and seven assists this season. Kim picked up 29 ground balls and forced a career-high 28 turnovers in 2025. Kim also won 15 draw controls for the Firebirds.

SYDNEY KUYAVA | DEFENDER | FIRST TEAM ALL-CCIW

Sydney Kuyava, a senior from White Bear Lake, Minn., registered 36 ground balls and forced a career-high 26 turnovers. Kuyava won five draw controls and scored one goal.

PIPER LEFEVRE | ATTACK | FIRST TEAM ALL-CCIW

Piper LeFevre, a junior from Crystal Lake, Ill., scored 49 goals in 2025 for the Firebirds with 15 assists for a total of 64 points. LeFevre picked up 30 ground balls, won 29 draw controls, and forced 18 turnovers.

SHANNON HEITSCHMIDT | ATTACK | SECOND TEAM ALL-CCIW

Shannon Heitschmidt, a junior from Chicago, Ill., tallied 20 goals and 13 assists, producing 33 points in the regular season. Heitschmidt also registered 13 draw controls, 12 ground balls, and seven caused turnovers.

KAITLYN GOFF | DEFENDER | SECOND TEAM ALL-CCIW

Kaitlyn Goff, a sophomore from Park Ridge, Ill., scored 15 goals while earning 10 assists and 25 points. Goff won 47 draw controls, picked up 24 ground balls, and forced 17 turnovers.

TAYLOR RUF | MIDFIELDER | CCIW RESPECT AWARD

Taylor Ruf, a sophomore from Trinity, Fla., has been named a recipient of the CCIW RESPECT Award. At the conclusion of every sport's season, each varsity program will recognize one student-athlete as their RESPECT Award honoree. RESPECT Award recipients have distinguished themselves as an integral member of the team, their institution, and community by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration, and Trust. The RESPECT Award recognizes the intangible traits a student-athlete possesses that exemplify great character and encourage inclusiveness and a positive culture.
