GOLDEN — Carthage College student-worker Kayleigh Wieska has been named a finalist for Photographer of the Year in the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Creative & Digital Design Contest, as announced by the contest committee.

Wieska, a member of the Carthage Athletic Communications team for the past three years, has consistently earned recognition for her work. She placed third in the Photography Portfolio of the Year category in 2022-23, captured the Division III Best Photo of the Year award, and finished fourth in the college division last year.

Wieska was selected from among 49 entries in the college division and is the only student representative from a Wisconsin college and the only finalist from the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW).

"Kayleigh's work speaks for itself, and her growth behind the camera over the last three years has been incredible to witness," said Sam Boyle, Director Athletic Communications. "She brings a unique perspective to everything she shoots and continues to raise the standard for student creatives in our department."

Winners will be announced live on stage during the Special Awards Luncheon at #CSCUnite25 on Wednesday, June 11, at the World Center Marriott in Orlando, Florida.
