In this role, he developed and executed content strategies that resulted in a 67% increase in engagement. He also led a team of 15 student-workers, enhancing the social media presence and game day experiences, and built strong relationships with media, campus departments, and sponsors for positive brand exposure.
Previously, from July 2019 to July 2022, Sam served as the Assistant Sports Information Director at Carthage College. He managed communications for 11 varsity sports and assisted with the 28-sport NCAA Division III athletic department. Sam oversaw social media profiles that achieved high engagement and was the primary contact for the 2021 and 2022 Division III Men's Volleyball National Championship team.
Before arriving at Carthage, Boyle worked as the Assistant Sports Information Director at the University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio. While there, he handled communications for nine varsity sports in a 24-sport NCAA Division III athletic department and managed social media profiles that ranked top-five in Division III followings.
Boyle served as the Sports Information Director at Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from 2017-18. He directed all aspects of sports information, including media, publications, and web streaming.
Boyle honed his craft through experiences at Marian University (Wis.), Northwestern Oklahoma State University, and in minor league baseball with the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders of the Northwoods League.
A native of Fond du Lac, Wis., Boyle's academic journey led him to earn a bachelor's degree in communication with an emphasis in public relations from Marian University (Wis.) in 2014. As a student, Boyle contributed significantly to his alma mater's athletic communications efforts, handling video production, statistics, and media coordination. He played a pivotal role in revitalizing the university's campus newspaper, "The Sabre Voice," overseeing its rebranding and expanding its readership to a broad spectrum of students.
