CORALVILLE - Natalie Majer of the Carthage women's wrestling team competed in the opening day of the 2025 National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championship (NCWWC).



Majer started the day with a 10-0 tech fall loss to Norah Swaim (McKendree). Majer then moved into the consolation bracket and defeated Lexi Doerflinger (Hiram) with a fall after 26 seconds. The Carthage senior advanced to the second round of the consolation bracket before ending the day with a loss by fall (3:41) to Marjorie McDaniel (Colorado Mesa).



The 2024-25 Carthage women's wrestling season has come to an end. The Firebirds will return to action in the fall of 2025. For more information, visit athletics.carthage.edu.
