Women's Wrestling Student-Athletes Named Scholar All-Americans by NWCA

MANHEIM - Five members of the Carthage women's wrestling team have received Scholar All-American Honors from the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) for the 2024-25 season, the NWCA announced Thursday. 

Firebirds who received this honor include freshmen Madison Cook (Engineering), Alaina Hollendoner (Nursing), and Izzee Nelson-Carrillo (Psychology and Photography), senior Natalie Majer (Physics), and graduate student Adele Senzig (Business in Sport Management).

In order to earn Scholar All-American honors, a student-athlete must meet one of the following academic and athletic criteria:
  • A top eight finisher at nationals and at least a 3.0 Cumulative GPA
  • Competed in a minimum of 15 matches that are recorded in TRACKWRESTLING and has at least a 3.5 Cumulative GPA
  • Was a national qualifier and has at least a 3.25 Cumulative GPA
