Majer Set to To Compete in 2025 NCWWC National Championships

CORALVILLE - Natalie Majer of the Carthage women's wrestling team is set to compete in the 2025 National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships at the 117 pound division on March 7-8 in Coralville, Iowa.

Majer, a senior from Huntley, Ill., will appear at the NCWWC meet for the fourth consecutive season. Majer comes into the championship meet with an overall record of 33-19, and a record of 32-17 at the 117 division. Majer placed fourth at the NCWWC Region 5 Championships on Feb. 22 to punch the ticket to the championship meet after going 3-2 on the weekend.

Majer will start off in the 117 bracket against Norah Swaim of McKendree. Swaim, a freshman from Edwardsville, Ill., enters the tournament with a record of 21-17 and a second place finish at the NCWWC Region 6 Championships. The two wrestlers have not faced each other this season.

The NCWWC National Championships will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 7 at the Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa. Majer will look to wrestle into day two of the event on Saturday, March 8. For more information, visit athletics.carthage.edu.
