MANHEIM — Carthage College men's wrestlers Zaren Anderson and Mason Kochersperger were named 2025 NCAA Division III Scholar All-Americans by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA), as announced Friday.  

The NWCA Scholar All-American program recognizes student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically. To qualify, athletes must meet at least one of the following criteria: place in the top eight at their regional tournament or wrestle a minimum of 15 matches with a win percentage above 66 percent. Additionally, student-athletes must maintain either a 3.2 GPA over the past two semesters or a cumulative 3.2 GPA.  

Anderson, a junior business management major, and Kochersperger, a senior elementary education major, demonstrated excellence in the classroom while making significant contributions to the Firebirds' success on the mat.
