KENOSHA, Wis. — Carthage College men's basketball student-athletes
Ryan Johnson and
AJ Johnson have earned spots on this year's NABC All-District and D3hoops.com All-Region Teams.
Ryan Johnson was named to the NABC All-District First Team and D3hoops.com All-Region First Team, while
AJ Johnson secured spots on the NABC All-District Second Team and D3hoops.com All-Region Second Team.
Ryan Johnson, a sophomore forward from Oswego, Illinois, averaged 15 points per game while starting and playing in all 28 games for the Firebirds this season. He pulled down 255 rebounds, averaging 9.1 per game, and was named the 2024 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Fred Young Most Outstanding Student-Athlete. Johnson is the first Carthage student-athlete to receive this honor since 2011.
AJ Johnson, a junior guard, averaged 15.7 points per game while also starting and playing in all 28 games. A unanimous All-CCIW First Team selection, Johnson scored a season-high 32 points against IIT and was named CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week on November 18.
Ryan Johnson ranks second in the nation in assists per game, while
AJ Johnson is eighth. Carthage wrapped up the 2024-25 season with a 21-7 record and an appearance in the NCAA Championship, marking the program's first postseason berth since 2017.
