KENOSHA - The Carthage women's swimming and diving team hosted and competed in the Private College Championships Friday and Saturday. The diving championships were held on Friday and the swimming championships followed on Saturday.

The Firebirds team of Maria Gutzweiler, Katarina Stanic, Lois Klinger, and Noelle Marsh took first place in the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:40.78.

Sydney Logan clocked in a time of 5:21.75 in the 500 yard freestyle for a second place finish. 

Emily Belcik took second place in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:14.97.

In the 50 yard freestyle, Michelle Gorney placed second with a time of 25.46.

The Firebirds team of Kylie Kramp, Rylie Vatch, Klinger, and Belcik took the gold in the 400 yard medley relay with a time of 4:03.79.

In the 400 yard IM, Kylie Kramp placed first clocking in a time of 4:49.85. 

Klinger and Gutzweiler went second and third place in the 100 yard butterfly with times of 59.33 and 1:01.26.

In the 200 yard freestyle, Belcik and Gorney went first and second place clocking in times of 1:58.64 and 2:00.15.

Vatch took third place in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:11.85.

Kramp clocked in a time of 1:00.58 in the 100 yard backstroke for a first place finish. 

The Firebirds team of Gutzweiler, Marsh, Klinger, and Belcik clocked in a time of 1:51.70 for a first place finish in the 200 yard medley relay.

In the 1650 yard freestyle, Logan took the gold in a time of 18:35.34.

Gutzweiler took second place in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:17.56.

Belcik and Klinger placed first and third in the 100 yard freestyle with times of 54:44 and 56.31.

Vatch placed third in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:37.27.

Gorney swam a time of 2:24.72 for a second place finish in the 200 yard butterfly. 

The Firebirds team of Gutzweiler, Marsh, Kramp, and Belcik took first place in the 400 yard freestyle relay in a time of 3:44.43.
