KENOSHA – Carthage College Assistant Director for Athletic Communications
Justin Corrigan has been selected as one of 30 participants in the 2025 NCAA Division III Athletic Communicators Emerging Elite Program, a national professional development initiative recognizing rising leaders in athletics communications.
The program, created in partnership with D3SIDA and College Sports Communicators (CSC), is designed to develop the next generation of communications professionals across Division III athletics. Participants will attend the in-person program this December at the NCAA National Office in Indianapolis and receive a complimentary registration to the CSC UNITE Convention in June.
"Division III athletics communication and sports information directors play a critical role on Division III campuses," said Louise McCleary, NCAA Vice President of Division III. "We are excited to provide another professional development program with the Athletic Communicators Emerging Elite Program."
Corrigan joined Carthage in 2023, bringing a strong background in athletic communications and sports management. A Carthage alumnus, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science with minors in Health and Secondary Education, later completing a Master of Science in Sport Management at the University of Wisconsin–Parkside in 2023.
"Justin has spearheaded our social media efforts, growing all 28 varsity platforms while also serving as the lead liaison for all graphics produced by Carthage Athletic Communications," said
Sam Boyle, Director of Athletic Communications. "He also assists in managing over 40 student workers, provides public address at games, handles statistics, and contributes color commentary on Carthage broadcasts. This recognition is well-deserved and reflects the hard work and leadership he brings to our department every day."
The Emerging Elite Program was launched in 2024 to provide professional growth opportunities for early- to mid-career athletics communicators. Participants engage in sessions on leadership development, managing communications teams, cross-department collaboration, and adapting to the evolving digital landscape in college athletics.
