Carthage College Athletics

Justin Corrigan joined the Carthage College athletic department in June of 2023 as an assistant director for athletic communications. He serves as the primary athletic communications, media relations and public information contact for 12 Carthage athletic programs, while also serving as the secondary communications contact for football and men’s basketball. He develops digital communications and social media strategies across 22 athletics accounts while maintaining the Carthage Athletics website and producing print, digital and multimedia content to promote student-athletes, coaches and department initiatives. Corrigan also serves as the public address announcer for Carthage basketball.

Nationally, Corrigan is an active member of College Sports Communicators and was selected for the organization’s NCAA Division III Emerging Elite Program in 2025. In 2026, he earned first-place honors in both the College Division and Division III categories for Recruiting Materials in the CSC Creative and Digital Design Contest.

Prior to returning to Carthage, Corrigan spent two years at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, serving as a graduate assistant for strategic communications from 2021-23. He was the primary athletics communications and media relations contact for eight NCAA Division II programs while supporting strategic communications initiatives, including approximately 50 partnerships through social media, print and special event marketing. He also produced game recaps, feature stories, news releases and other athletics communications materials.

In 2022, Corrigan served as interim director for strategic communications at UW-Parkside, directing communications and media relations efforts for all 13 NCAA Division II programs. He supervised 20 student communications staff members, coordinated media coverage and broadcast operations for home athletics events, and directed communications, branding and media relations efforts for the 2022 NCAA Division II Cross Country Midwest Regional Championships.

Corrigan also has extensive public address and play-by-play experience, including the NCAA Division II Cross Country Midwest Regional Championships, Ohio Valley Conference Track & Field Championships and Big East Conference Cross Country Championships.

A former Carthage student-athlete, Corrigan competed in cross country and track & field from 2017-21 and earned CCIW Academic All-Conference honors. He graduated from Carthage in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and minors in health and secondary education before earning his Master of Science in Sport Management from UW-Parkside in 2023.
