KENOSHA - The Carthage men's swim and dive team continued the opening weekend of competition, hosting the 2025 Wisconsin Showcase. The Firebirds brought strong contributions to a competitive field. Carthage will continue to build momentum early in the 2025-26 campaign.
William Murray led the way with top-10 finishes in three events—7th in the 100 breaststroke (1:00.58), 8th in the 100 freestyle (48.73), and 10th in the 200 freestyle (1:49.48).
AJ Landorf added strong performances across multiple events, placing 8th in the 200 IM (2:02.84), 10th in the 100 freestyle (49.38), and 6th in the 400 IM (4:25.62).
Ben Przekota and
Tyson Politsch provided key sprint and breaststroke depth, while
Trey Halas (8th in 100 back, 5th in 200 back) posted solid times in the backstroke events.
In diving, Taydin Murphy earned podium finishes on both boards—placing 3rd on 1-meter (234.68) and 2nd on 3-meter (232.28).
Carthage also claimed 4th in both the men's 200 Medley Relay (1:38.16) and 200 Free Relay (1:29.09) to cap off a successful team effort.
