NAPERVILLE – The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) has named Carthage College junior AJ Johnson as the Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week.

Johnson, from Oswego, Ill., had back-to-back 20-point performances as he tallied 22 against North Central (Ill.) on January 25 and 20 on January 18. Johnson went a combined 13-for-13 from the free throw line and led the team in assists with 13 between the two games.

Johnson leads the conference in free throw percentage at 92% and is fourth in the conference in scoring at 15.9 points per game.

Carthage returns to action on Wednesday, Jan. 22, hosting Carroll (Wis.) at 7 p.m. in Tarble Arena.
