CHICAGO – The Carthage women's tennis team traveled to Chicago on Wednesday afternoon for a CCIW dual against the North Park Vikings. The Firebirds struggled in doubles play,

 

DOUBLES PLAY

Sasha Manojlovic and Giovanna Mendes suffered a 6-0 loss to Alexandra Ristfeldt and Katarina Carlberg. Xingchen Liu and Maddie Kearney fell to Hanna Zethreus and Emilia Sand 6-2. Niki Manojlovic and Greta Peterson lost a 6-4 battle to Madeline Starr and Alexandra Pugachova.

SINGLES PLAY

Liu fell to Zethreus 6-1, 0-6 (6-3). S. Manojlovic fell to Ristfeldt 6-3, 6-2. Mendes lost a 7-5, 6-4 match to Carlberg. Peterson dropped a 6-2, 6-4 match to Sand. Kearney lost 6-2, 6-0 to Pugachova. Weis was defeated by Starr 6-3, 6-2.
