BRISTOL  - The Carthage College women's golf teams showcased solid performances in their recent outing to start the season hosting the Battle on the Border, with three teams competing and demonstrating depth and resilience. The A team finished seventh with a total score of 673 (333 + 340), the B team placed 11th with a score of 743 (367 + 376), and the C team secured 13th place with a total of 771 (390 + 381).


Alina Brindza led the A team, carding rounds of 79 and 81 for a total score of 160. Lexi Manteufel followed closely behind with rounds of 81 and 83, finishing at 164. Ro Longden recorded scores of 86 and 87, totaling 173, while Abby Bocock rounded out the team with scores of 91 and 93, ending with 184.

The B Team was paced by Madeline Midgett, who finished with scores of 93 and 90 for a total of 183. Mae Norman and Braelyn Davoust posted steady rounds, scoring 184 and 190, respectively. Toni Powers, with scores of 91 and 100, and Lauren Howe, who recorded 90 and 99, rounded out the scoring for the team.

Mary Mikolajczak led the C Team with rounds of 93 and 97, totaling 190. Samantha Bocock followed with a 215 after rounds of 110 and 105, while Annika Erickson finished with a consistent 96 in both rounds. Ciara Church and Steda Lundak finished with totals of 194, each showing resilience on the course.

Individually, Claudia Clare posted rounds of 127 and 123 for 250. Janie Clifton and Becky Freed finished at 225 and 212, respectively, while Megan Ward scored 103 and 101, finishing at 204.


Carthage will be in action at the Wartburg Invite, which is set to start on Saturday, September 7 at Prairie Links Golf and Event Center.
