Carthage 7, Wis-Stevens Point 2
KENOSHA, Wis. – The Carthage women's tennis team hosted the Wis-Stevens Point Pointers on Saturday afternoon at Smeds Tennis Center. It was a successful day for the Firebirds, who came away with their third straight team win.

 

In doubles play, Marie Weis and Sasha Manojlovic fell to Tristin Jantz and Jordan Scharf 8-4. Giovanna Mendes and Luana da Silva earned an 8-5 win over Chloe Leithold and Brooklyn Steier. Beatriz Ferreira and Maddie Kearney defeated Maya Kunze and Katie Meyer with an 8-3 victory.

In singles play, Weis fell to Jantz 6-4, 6-3. Manojlovic earned a win in a tight 7-6 (7-2), 3-6, (10-2) battle with Scharf. Mendes defeated Leithold 6-3, 6-2. Kearney earned the win over Steier with a pair of 6-1 victories. Ferreira defeated Kunze, also winning 6-1, 6-1. da Silva defeated Meyer 6-2, 6-3.
