ELMHURST, Ill. — The Carthage College men's wrestling team finished seventh in this year's College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Championship hosted by Elmhurst. The Firebirds had three all-conference selections as Cole Nelson finished third in the 141 weight class, and Zaren Anderson took third in the 157 weight class. Carthage's Maxwell Becker was named this year's RESPECT award winner for Carthage. 

After every sport's season, each varsity program will recognize one student-athlete as their RESPECT Award honoree. RESPECT Award recipients have distinguished themselves as an integral team, institution, and community member by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration, and Trust. The RESPECT Award recognizes a student-athlete's intangible traits that exemplify great character and encourage inclusiveness and a positive culture.
