KENOSHA, Wis. – Carthage College men's basketball team has secured a spot in the second regional ranking for the 2023-24 season, claiming a position in Region VIII. The Firebirds were picked in the initial poll and hold the No. 6 spot in this week's poll.
The Firebirds hold an overall record of 15-8 and 9-5 performance in conference play. Junior student-athlete
Antuan Nesbitt ranks second in the nation for minutes played. Additionally, Nesbitt holds the 25th position in the country for assists per game and leads the conference in assists.
Senior
Fillip Bulatovic holds the fourth spot in points per game and is the top rebounder in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW). Furthermore, first-year student-athlete
Ryan Johnson holds the sixth position in the conference for blocked shots, while Bulatovic secures the sixth spot in steals.
As the regular season concludes, Carthage is set to face Wheaton (Ill.) at home on February 14 at 7 p.m. The team will then hit the road for a matchup against Millikin on Saturday, February 17, at 4:15 p.m.
