NAPERVILLE — The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) unveiled its 2024 Football All-Conference Teams on Tuesday morning, with Carthage College junior
Michael Sneed earning a spot on the
All-CCIW Second Team Defense.
Sneed, a New Lenox, Illinois, native, recorded 43 tackles during the season for the
Firebirds. He tallied six season-high tackles in a
matchup against
Millikin on October 26. The junior also registered two sacks, including a crucial game-winning sack in the final seconds to secure Carthage's victory over the Big Blue.
Additionally,
Bryce Frank was recognized as Carthage's recipient of the
CCIW RESPECT Award. A junior from Marshall, Wisconsin, Frank led the
Firebirds with 694 rushing yards and scored four touchdowns this season. He ranked seventh in the conference in rushing yards and 14th in touchdowns.
The
CCIW RESPECT Award honors one student-athlete per varsity team each season who exemplifies Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration, and Trust.
