NAPERVILLE – The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) has named Carthage College junior AJ Johnson as the Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week.

Johnson, from Oswego, Ill., opened the season with an impressive carer-best 32-point performance against Illinois Institute of Technology on Nov. 12. He shot a flawless six-for-six from three-point range and went 12-for-13 at the free-throw line, while also pulling down eight rebounds. Johnson followed up with 13 points and four assists against Alma. 

The Firebirds will travel to face No. 2 Wisconsin-Platteville on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 7 p.m.
