PEORIA - The Carthage College women's golf squad wrapped up the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Championship Saturday afternoon as the team shot a three-day score of 988 (330-318-340) for fourth place.
Lexi Manteufel led the Firebirds, finishing seventh with a total score of 238 over three rounds (78-75-85). Alina Brindza secured 13th, posting a 242 (83-77-82). Other Firebirds included Ro Longden, who placed 21st with a total of 251 (83-83-85), Lauren Howe at 27th with a 257 (86-83-88), and Abigail Bocock tied for 31st at 262 (86-83-93). Mae Norman rounded out the Carthage roster, finishing tied for 41st with a total of 274 (95-87-92).
Manteufel was named to the All-CCIW Team while
Abigail Bocock was this year's RESPECT award winner for Carthage. The RESPECT Award, bestowed upon one student-athlete from each varsity program at the conclusion of every sports season, honors individuals who embody values such as Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration, and Trust.
