MEQUON, Wis. - After a two-week hiatus, the Carthage Firebirds women's tennis team returned to action today against Concordia (Wis.), taking a commanding 7-2 victory on the road. The team now moves to 9-8 with two more non-conference dual matches left to play - both coming this Sunday in Kenosha.

Xingchen Liu won her 19th singles match of the season, continuing her incredible pace in just her first year as a Firebird. Liu owns an 19-3 record in singles matches this season, which currently positions her with the 12th-highest single-season winning percentage in singles matches in program history (.863).
