RACINE, Wis. - Now winners of its last three matches, the Carthage College women's tennis team is playing its best tennis since it won three of four dual matches to conclude play in the fall. The team took down Lake Forest in a well-earned sweep, winning third-set tiebreakers at the No. 3 (da Silva) and No. 4 (Mendes) singles flights.
Carthage has now swept consecutive opponents for the first time since the 2018-2019 team took down MSOE and Wisconsin Lutheran in late March. In the sweep, first-year student-athlete and College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Player of the Year
Xingchen Liu earned her 17th singles win of the season with four dual matches to go.Â
