KENOSHA, Wis. – The Carthage women's tennis team hosted the North Park Vikings at Smeds Tennis Center on Monday afternoon. Despite looking for their third straight CCIW dual win, the Firebirds could not keep up with the Vikings and were defeated 8-1.

 
 

• Beatriz Ferreira scored the Firebirds only point with a 6-0, 6-1 win in singles play over Lisen Bergqvist.
• The Vikings controlled the remaining eight matches to claim the remainder of the team points.

 
The Firebirds return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 10 as they host Elmhurst at Smeds Tennis Center. Action is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. For more information, visit athletics.carthage.edu.
