Coachs Remarks

"Overall, a good weekend for the Firebirds," commented head coach Leanne Ulmer. "I thought our serve and pass game was strong against everyone but Albion. They put a lot of pressure on our serve receive and it forced us to be more predictable on offense and that's tough against a very good team. Against DePauw our offense did a nice job and our block really picked up. Molly Skoda and Leena Ajibola really stepped up and sparked the offense. We had success in the Rightside with Liv Carel and Kaitie Rohe hitting and blocking. Our defense led by Aubree Bucheger picked up as the match went on. Madi Danielson was all over the court defensively, she passed very well and had some nice service runs. Our setters did a nice job as well mixing up the offense. We have a tough competitor in Concordia (Wis.) on Wednesday. so we need to learn from our physical and mental mistakes and get back to work!"
