NAPERVILLE, Ill. — The first day at the Carius/Gregory Invitational was all about the throwers, as the Carthage women's track and field team looks to increase their marks leading into the final stretch of the 2022 outdoor season. Day two begins tomorrow afternoon, May 13, at 2 p.m.
 

Highlights

• Sophomore Nicole Tarpley took sixth in the discus today, hitting 39.35 meters on her third attempt.
• In the shot put, Alyssa Gulsvig took sixth place with a new PR of 12.97 meters.
• Just behind her in eighth, Liv Carel scored for the Firebirds as well with a throw of 12.67 meters in the shot.
