MOLINE, Ill. — The #10 ITA Central Region Carthage men's tennis team rolled past conference opponent Augustana College on the road this Saturday afternoon, winning 8-1 against the Vikings in their second conference dual match of the year.

The Firebirds (17-1) swept doubles 3-0, starting with an 8-7 (7-4) win on court two by Myles Krzewinski and Andre Antreassian. Tripp Schulte and Nick Marino paired up on court three to win 8-4, before #12 ranked doubles partners Daniel Moore and Yanozie Amadike cleaned up 8-7 (8-6) on the final court.

Augustana (2-9) managed to grab a win on court one to begin singles, but the Firebirds quickly bounced back on court five with a 6-3, 6-2 win from Chris Mitev. Amadike took court two 6-2, 6-3 and Krzewinski won court three 6-3, 6-2. Schulte finished 6-1, 6-0 on court six before Marino closed out 7-5, 6-0 on court four to secure the match at 8-1 in favor of the Firebirds.

The Firebirds now have an ideal 2-0 record in conference play, and are set to host Millikin University next Friday, April 8th at the Smeds Tennis Center in Kenosha, Wis. if weather permits.
