NEW BERLIN, Wis. — The #39 Carthage college men's tennis team swept the Carroll Pioneers 9-0 this Friday afternoon to improve to 16-1 on the season.

Andre Antreassian and Cooper Ferruzzi picked up an easy 8-0 win on court two to begin doubles play, followed by Daniel Moore and Yanozie Amadike (8-0) on court one. Chris Mitev and Hayden Friese closed out 8-1 on court three to give the Firebirds a 3-0 advantage heading into singles.

Chris Mitev swept court three (6-0, 6-0) to begin singles action, followed by Hayden Friese 6-0, 6-1 on court six. Andre Antreassian took court five 6-0, 6-0 and Tripp Schulte grabbed a win on court four 6-0, 6-1. Myles Krzewinski and Daniel Moore closed off courts two and one 6-1, 6-2 and 6-1, 6-0 respectively.

The Firebirds take on Augustana College next Saturday, April 2nd at the Quad City Tennis Club in Moline, Ill.
