WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The Carthage women's indoor track and field season came to a close on Saturday, as Alexis Mattox competed in the shot put at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship meet, taking 16th place.

After hitting 12.39 meters on her first attempt, she posted a mark of 12.69 meters on throw two. Her third attempt went 12.43 meters, setting her in 16th place at the national meet.
