KENOSHA, Wis. — Hosting their third indoor meet of the season, the Carthage women's track and field team took first place in the annual Tadd Metzger Invitational on Friday in the Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center. The Firebirds posted a total of 211.5 points to take first place among the seven-team field.

Carthage will head back out on the road next weekend to compete at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Saturday, February 12.

Assistant Coach Cale Brown

"Today was a really good step as we move closer to the conference championship. It's great to see our team progress while also learning to compete week in and week out against good competition. Grace Robinson had a standout performance with a three-second PR in the 400 meter. We're excited to see what the upcoming weeks will bring."
