ELMHURST, IL. — Carthage women's tennis traveled to Elmhurst University this Wednesday and grabbed a 7-2 win on the road. The win today improves the Firebird's overall record to 3-3, and 2-2 in conference play.

Carthage swept all three courts in doubles play, beginning with an 8-1 win on court two by Sierra Sonnemaker and Faelan O'Shaughnessy. Back on court one, Sam Ramsey and Rachel Anderson would grab an 8-2 win, before Kenna Beth and Stephanie Yerges would close out with an 8-3 victory on court three.

Sierra Sonnemaker started singles play off with a 6-2, 6-1 dub on court three, followed by Rachel Anderson's 6-4, 6-1 win on court two. Faelan O'Shaughnessy picked up a 6-4, 6-1 win on court four. Carthage went on to drop court five, but would get another win shortly after on court six as Emily Krysinski won her set 7-5, 6-2.

The Firebirds head to Chicago, Illinois this Sunday to take on North Park University for their fifth CCIW match of the season.
