ROCK ISLAND, IL. — Carthage women's tennis suffered a 9-0 loss this Sunday in their conference match against Augustana which was held in Rock Island, Illinois. Today's match lowered the Firebird's record to 4-5 overall and 3-4 in conference action.

Sierra Sonnemaker and Faelan O'Shaughnessy nearly grabbed a win on court two in doubles play, but ultimately the court would fall to Augustana as they won the 8-7 (4) tiebreaker win. The remaining courts also swayed in the home team's favor.

The Firebirds hope to bounce back this Friday in what will be their last dual match of the regular season as they take on North Central College at the Smeds Tennis Center in Kenosha.
