JANESVILLE, WIS. — Women's golf ended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Spring Invitational with a second-place finish after shooting 315 (+27) in the final round of the tournament. Carthage ended yesterday in second-place as well, after shooting 324 (+36) in round one, bringing them to a combined total of 639 (+63) for the invitational. Wisconsin-Whitewater took home first place after shooting just five strokes lower than the Firebirds for a total of 634 (+58), while the University of Dubuque Iowa placed third with their tournament score of 662 (+86).

Kate Munro finished third among all competitors with her score of 78 (+6) in round one, 76 (+4) in round two, and 154 (+10) total. Sarah Schuster and Sami Plankey tied for fifth-place with equal scores of 161 (+17). Madi McCoy landed a spot in eleventh-place with her total of 164 (+20), while Alina Brindza rounded out the Carthage scorecard by shooting 171 (+27)

Next up for the Firebirds is the CCIW Championships which will be held at The Oak Brook Golf Club in Chicago, Illinois beginning on Thursday, April 22nd.
