KENOSHA, Wis. — Carthage men's tennis dropped their first game of conference play 5-4 as they took on Augustana College at the Life Sport Athletic Club in Kenosha this Sunday. 

Carthage dropped courts two and three in doubles play, but grabbed an 8-7(5) win on court one courtesy of Tripp Schulte and Nicolas Welker. 

Cooper Ferruzzi won court five 6-1, 6-1 to begin singles play, while Andre Antreassian picked up a win of his own on court four 6-2, 6-4. Hayden Friese gave the Firebirds their third singles win with a 6-4, 6-1 victory on court six, but Augustana would clinch the remaining three courts to gain the overall match advantage 5-4.

Next Friday, March 26, Carthage hosts Carroll University where they look to claim their first conference win of the season.
