Men’s Tennis Closes Spring Break Trip on 5-4 Win

LAKE NONA, Fla. — The Carthage men's tennis team ended their spring break trip on a high note, as they took down Washington College (Md.) 5-4 on Friday at the USTA National Campus.

The duo of Daniel Moore and Andre Antreassian were first to get the Red Men (9-6) on the board with an 8-6 win at court one in doubles. On court two, Yanozie Amadike and Matt Krzewinski took down their opponents in a close 8-7(2) match, before Washington (5-2) won at court three.

Moore continued his strong day at court one in singles, defeating his opponent 6-2, 6-1 before the Shoremen came back with a win at court six. At court five, Tripp Schulte defeated his foe 6-0, 6-3 to put Carthage one point away from clinching the dual match, before Washington tied it at four with wins at courts four and three. At the final court, Amadike would come out on top in a 10-4 tiebreaker to clinch the victory for the Red Men.
